How-to: Emerald and Gold using Sleek MakeUP Original Palette

EMERALD AND GOLD

Hello, beautiful souls!

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to achieve this look using the Sleek MakeUP i-Divine palette in Original paired with a red lip using Sleek MakeUP Matte Me lip cream in 'Rioja Red'.

As I have said before in my blog, I love me some Sleek MakeUP products. They are generally very good quality for a fair price. Their eye shadow palettes retail for £7.99 for 12 eye shadows with great pigmentation!

Now, let's get started:
1) Prep your lids with a primer to allow the eye shadows to adhere better and stay on for longer and avoid creasing. Used: Smashbox photo finish lid primer. Set with a skin tone eye shadow/face powder to allow the other shadows placed on top to blend easier.

2) With a fluffy brush, apply a soft brown in the crease in windshield wiper motion from the outer end to the inner end. This is the transition colour that will help blend the green. Used: MAC cosmetics eye shadow in 'Saddle'

3) Apply a black kohl liner on the lids to help make the eye shadow colour pop! Used: Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Eyeliner in 'Black'

4) With a flat brush, apply the colour 'E10' (deep turquoise) on top of the block kohl base.

5) Using the same fluffy brush as step 2, blend the colour by going back and forth with your brush. Apply more brown if needed

6) Add the colour 'Hyde Park' (forest green) to the centre of the lid.

7) With a stiffer blending brush, apply 'Black cab' (matte black) in the crease to add smoke. Blend and blend with the fluffy brush to get rid of any harsh edges.

8) With a pencil/smaller brush, apply a soft brown colour along the lower lash line. Again, this is a transition colour to help other colours blend.

9) With the same brush, apply the black, stopping before the tear duct.

10) (Optional) With a small brush, apply a gold cream product to the make the following gold shadow pop! Used: Maybelline colour tattoo in '24k gold'

11) Apply gold eye shadow on the inner corner and blend with the green on the lid and the black on the lower lashes, Used: Gold from Sleek MakeUP Rio rio palette

12) Line the waterline with black kohl liner. Used: Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof eyeliner in 'Black'
13) Wingliner! Using a black gel liner and a small liner brush, trace a line from the end of your eye heading towards the end of your brow.

14) Draw a line to come back from the end of the first line.

15) Draw a line from the inner corner of your eye to meet the previous lines and fill them in.
Used: Maybelline gel liner in black. This could be better achieved with a liquid liner for beginners.
16) Curl your lashes.

17) Add mascara to your top and bottom lashes. USED: Maybelline Falsies Mascara in 'Waterproof black'

18) Highlight your brow bone with 'Cream tea' (shimmery champagne).

19) Add false lashes for extra glam! Used: Ardell lashes in 'Whispies'.

... and you're done!
